Ijams Nature Center presents: Haunted Lantern Tours at Mead's and Ross Marble Quarries

October 11th- 6:30pm, Creatures of the night which will be an evening nature walk in the woods of Ijams Nature Center
October 19th-A program called Night of the Undead featuring food, movies, and music. The gates open at 6:00pm, and the tickets are $10.00. The movies start at 7:00pm approx.
Knoxville Zoo- Boo at the Zoo
The Boo at the Zoo is an annual event at the Knoxville Zoo.
Come out for 12 nights of safe, child friendly scares and fun. It runs on the weekends of October with the dates of the 10th-13th, 17th-20th, 24th-27th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
For 27 years, this has been a delightfully scary family event at the Knoxville Zoo. It
has entertained kids with amazing celebration of Halloween. Costumed
characters throughout the zoo hand out candies, and visitors can take a
ride the haunted carousel.
The Monster Mash tent will be full of ghoulish music and fun games and activities.
Kids can take a trick or treat walk down the Boo trail to load up on candy.
Admission is $7.00 per person and children under 2 are free. Members of the Knoxville Zoo get a $2.00 discount. Parking is $6.00.
The Knoxville Zoo- Boo at the Zoo needs lots of Volunteers for each
night of the event to dress up in costumes (provided), and help
run activities, games and to give out candy.

NavCal River Rides offers a scary historical boat tour
Traveling on the
Tennessee River enjoy the playful adventure with the spirits of Sam Clemmons, and Miss Drusilla who will
host your haunted tour. As they share the spooky stories on
the riverfront, you may see a sea monster in the water, or restless
ghosts from the world famous Body Farm.
Watch out for the on board black cat who normally chases the rats but you might want to keep an eye on
the cat. The riverboat office barge is haunted by the deceased Captain
Jim who tends to linger around scaring the passengers as they depart for the
Nav Cal River Rides launches the S.S. Nightmare from 300 Neylad drive at
7:00pm, 8:00pm and 9:00pm on October 10th, 11th, 13th, 17th, 18th, 20th,
24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 31st, November 1st, 2nd and 3rd. This 45 minute
tour costs $15.00 each.
Board 15 minutes before hand and its wise to
order tickets well in advance as each tour can only take 19 passengers
and tours sell out fast.

down and celebrate the season of haunting with spooks and spirits. The
event is full of great family fun. B97.5's Jennifer Alexander and Night
Moon Productions will be supplying an evening of Halloween thrills and
chills with their friends form Fright Works.
The Ramsey House resident spirits will guide guests through the
rooms where local celebrities will be sharing ghostly tales. Sit and
listen to creepy and scary tales from the past.
You can vote on your favorite Halloween decorated cakes. Many of which will be up for sale afterwards.
Dr. William Bass (Jefferson Bass) will be available for
book signings, you can purchase one there or bring your own to get
William Bass is an American Forensic
Anthropologist who taught at the University of Tennessee. He wrote
"Deaths Acre" a book telling the story of his life and career,
co-written with journalist on Jefferson. They wrote under the pen name
Jefferson Bass. Other books by Jefferson Bass include, The Devil's
Bones, Carved in the Bone, The Bone Yard and Flesh to Bone.
Enjoy a wonderful food and make smores by
the campfire. This is a perfect night to get the family together and
enjoy spooky tales, yummy food and get into the Halloween spirit.
